JSM Comcap

JSM Comcap  is a utility tool used to capture, analyse, edit and simulate serial ports (COM). JSM Micro offers it free but requires a quick and simple registration.

 Important : Framework .Net 2.0 (not included with JSM Comcap) needs to be installed prior JSM Comcap installation. It can be automatically installed via Windows Update.

To install the .NET Framework, you can either use Windows Update or enable '.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)' from 'Turn Windows features on or off'.

Features

• Serial port (COM) capture, analysis, editing and playback tool. The main characteristics are :
• ability to capture from one or two simultaneous serial ports using various port settings;
• record precisely and accurately every byte transmitted through the serial port;
• ability to playback from one or two simultaneous serial ports and respecting timestamps;
• view bytes in hexadecimal and character (ASCII) formats as well as timestamps;
• view one or multiple bytes per line depending on the needed precision;
